
Mikhail Smirnov received his B.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from New York Institute of Technology in 2022, along with a minor in mathematics. Eager to delve into more research, he is a co-author on a number of published papers and is currently pursuing an M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering at New York Institute of Technology. He is set to graduate in 2025 and is looking forward to explore research and development roles in industry or academia. His current research interests include signal processing, scientific computing, embedded systems, and mathematical modeling. He has experience in academic research in both applied mathematics and electrical engineering, in addition to developing patent-based prototypes. In addition, he is a member of both IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and SIAM (Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics). Outside of his academic interests, he has an immense life-long passion for music and currently lives with his two cats (Link and Zelda) as a massive cat-lover.
